Read the business without building anything
The statements your accountant expects and the figures your operation needs, read from the work your business already did.
The statements you owe
Balance sheet, profit and loss, trial balance, cash flow. The ones your accountant, your bank and your board will ask for.
What the operation did
Stock, movements, production, jobs, assets and takings, by location and over time.
Scoped to the reader
A location manager opens the same report as the finance lead and sees their location, without setting a filter.
One set of numbers
The dashboard, the report and the daily pack read the same figure. Two screens cannot disagree.
Find the report already waiting for you
The report you need is not there, so it becomes a spreadsheet. Then the spreadsheet becomes the version everybody trusts.
Finance, stock, production, jobs, people and takings are all reported from the same records the work created.
See how accounting worksProduce the statements people ask for
Balance sheet, profit and loss, trial balance, cash flow and the ratios behind them. What your bank and your board expect, by location or in total.
See how accounting worksRead what the operation actually did
What you hold and what it is worth, what is not moving, what a run cost, what a job earned and what each counter took.
See how inventories workWhat you can read
Everything the work produced, grouped by the part of the business it came from.
Show each person their own figures
Reporting is either locked to the owner, so nobody answers their own questions, or open to everybody, so the counter reads payroll.
What somebody can open follows what they hold and the locations they work in. Same report, different reader, no filter set by hand.
See how people workScoped, composed, scheduled
The three things you never do by hand: filtering to your location, rebuilding the morning page, and remembering to send the pack.
The numbers agree because they were never apart.
Stop two screens disagreeing
The dashboard says one thing, the report another, the spreadsheet a third. Every month starts by working out which to believe.
One place works out each figure and everything else reads it. Nothing recalculates the same number a second way.
See how accounting worksReproduce any past date exactly
Run it as at a date and get what was true then. What arrived afterwards is not counted, which is what an auditor needs. The subledger and the control account give one answer.
See how period close worksOne figure, read in many places
One place computes it and everything else reads it. The dashboard is the report, shown smaller.
Controlled the way everything here is controlled
Questions people ask first
Can I get the report I need without building it?
Financial statements, stock, production, jobs, people and takings are all reported from the records the work created, so most questions are answered before anybody builds anything.
Will two screens ever show me different numbers?
No. One place computes each figure and everything else reads it. The front screen is the report shown smaller, not a second calculation that usually matches.
Can I read a past date exactly as it stood?
Yes. Run it as at any date and what arrived afterwards is not counted, which is what an auditor needs and what most systems cannot do.
Can a location manager see other locations?
Only the ones they hold. They open the same report finance opens and see their own, without setting a filter or being able to remove one.
Can I put the reports I check onto one page?
Yes, arranged how you like. Each part fetches through the same path the report uses, so composing a page can never show more than opening them one by one.
Can reports arrive without somebody running them?
Set who gets what and when, as a document or a spreadsheet. A failed send is retried rather than lost, so silence is not mistaken for success.
Does the aged list agree with my accounts?
Always. A part paid invoice ages at what is left in its own due bucket, and a customer in credit shows as a negative rather than being dropped.
Can I read several companies together?
Yes, with trading between them taken out so the same money is not counted twice, and shown separately rather than silently removed.
Who decides which reports somebody can open?
A report is available because somebody holds the thing it reports on. Nothing inherits access by sitting in the same menu.
Can I export it?
Yes, and the export is recorded as having happened, along with who ran it.
Read a business you did not set up
Run a profit and loss, drill into a balance, then read the same period for one location and compare.
